Michael J. Long is an associate at Henke Law Firm, LLP. Mr. Long has experience in premises liability, security negligence, construction liability, products liability, employer gross negligence liability, medical malpractice, bad faith insurance claims, Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, commercial and personal auto liability and other areas of general commercial litigation.
Mr. Long attended the University of Texas at Austin where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance in 2004. Before attending law school, Mr. Long gained experience working in the retail banking and loan services industry. Mr. Long received his legal degree from South Texas College of Law in 2008. While attending South Texas College of Law, Mr. Long was honored as a Ruth R. Bettes Scholarship recipient, Academic Merit Scholarship recipient and Advocacy Scholarship recipient. Mr. Long received the Dean's Outstanding Student Advocate Award for his achievements in advocacy and continues to participate as an alumni coach for the South Texas Advocacy Program. He was also a member of the South Texas Law Review and was voted by his peers as Most Outstanding Male Graduate for 2008.
